The last page of the Gazette belongs to the people making things for these machines — boards, cases, cartridges, repairs, disks, books, shows. If that’s you, send us your card. If it’s someone you buy from, tell us about them.

Who we’re looking for

Anyone supplying something worth having to the retro computing community. Commercial, one-person, or hobby-scale — the size of the operation doesn’t matter, and it isn’t limited to one platform. Commodore, Atari, Amiga, TRS-80 and Tandy, Apple II, Commander X16, MEGA65, DOS and early PC all count.

  • Hardware: boards, cartridges, drives, adapters, replacement chips, 3D-printed cases and parts
  • Repair and restoration services
  • New software, games, and demos sold on physical media
  • Books, fanzines, manuals, and reprints
  • Shows, user groups, BBSes, and online services people can actually use
  • Anything else you’d tell a friend about

The terms, in full

There are none. We don’t sell this space and we won’t start. Ten cards run in each issue, we pick them from what comes in, and everyone who sends something in stays in the pile for later issues. You don’t have to be a subscriber, an advertiser, or a contributor.

One thing we do ask: be able to fill an order. If someone reads the Gazette, writes to you, and hears nothing back, that’s on us as much as you.

Retro Shopper, November issue

Separate from the back page, we’re putting together a longer buyer’s guide for November — what’s for sale right now, who makes it, and what it costs. Same form, and there’s a box near the bottom to flag an entry for it. The longer description matters more here, so use the space if you have something to say about what you make.

Copy deadline for the November issue: Saturday, October 3. The back page runs every month, so late entries simply go into the next one.

Vector (SVG, EPS, PDF) is ideal. Otherwise 600 px or wider. It prints small and in one color, so high contrast beats fine detail.

Optional. Cards run fine without one.

For Retro Shopper. 1500 px or wider, plain background, the thing itself rather than a screenshot of your storefront.

Optional. One image, 10 MB limit.

We can’t reply to everything that comes in, so take this as sent rather than pending. If we need something from you before a listing runs, we’ll write.
